Watching the electric train while enjoying the hot chocolate and cookies.

Waiting to depart for the North Pole. Then the Conductor hollered all aboard!

when we went to get on the train it had started to "snow".

The Conductor punched our tickets.

Here you go sir!

We board the train and head for the dinning car.

Ella Kate where's your ticket? No! ok then.....

Gracie and her ticket to ride....

Anna Beth and her ticket to ride......

Our Polar Express reader. He did a fantastic job.

Ella Kate loved the story and she really loved the Train......

Anna Beth intently listening to the story.

What made the adventure even more fun was that we got to go along with all our friends!

Here are some more of our friends.

And a few more.

Our family enjoyed an evening of family fun. And it was all free!
Our local library and the Train depot here put on the event every year at the old Depot. This year was the first time we have taken the girls. It was fun to "Live out" Van Alsburg's book and with all the excitement we learned the girls really like trains. Ella Kate was so upset we did not move and I was worried she was going to disturb the reading of the story. But she calmed down and was fully engrossed in the story. When we were all done with the story we got to go back off the train and waiting for us at the end was.......

Santa!!! The girls each received a bell and we had a blast on our trip on the Polar Express!
