We were so excited to go see Toy Story 3 when it came out, but we were not so excited about the price for all of to go to the movies~ ouch! Well we were saving cereal box codes, and planning on a matinee when I remembered there was a local drive in Franklin. and at $12 a car load that was the best way to go. Matt and I used to go down there when the girls were little and they would sleep while we had a date to the movies. We had not been since they had gotten old enough to experience the event, and yes it is an event, that is the Drive- In. We got ready to go, packed the picnic dinner and all kinds of snacks and treats for the actual movie and we were on our way. We took a small detour and got some water pistols and a jug of water for before the movie because to get in and get a spot you have to be there sometimes three hours in advance! We were the forth car in line and the girls did great waiting for the Drive In to open. Then we got in and we ate our dinner, made some very sweet new friends who took to our girls well and they played right up till the movie started. And how was the movie you ask? It was great, and so was the family time we got to spend for little cost. I am so glad we still have a drive in theater near us. We Had A Blast!
